Personal

  • I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. I had my undergraduate study in National Chiao Tung University, where I met my lovely wife Chih-Fen. We have a two-year old son, Robert, and are expecting another one this March.

  • Fall of 1995, I came to US and enrolled Ph.D. program in Applied Mathematics at SUNY Stony Brook. One year later, I transferred to Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and became Ph.D. candidate in Nov. 1999.

  • From May 2000 to Feb. 2001, I worked as a software engineer in a start-up company PrivateLabs in New York City. The main duties were developing algorithms for online digital image management and integrating image processing algorithms with Web servers for online photo processing.

  • I will finish my Ph.D. this semester and I'm currently looking for a position. If you're interested, here is my resume.
