CDMA/IP-based System for Interoperable Public Safety
Radio Communications
Present-day
public safety radio systems are limited by the lack of interoperability and the
scarcity of radio spectrum. These limitations can be overcome by using more
modern and efficient radio technologies, in conjunction with the use of
IP-based networks to interconnect multiple wire-line and wireless systems, and
to serve as an universal platform for third-party
multimedia and network management applications. The objective of the proposed
work is to develop a service framework to support the need of public safety
agencies. This project is sponsored by National Institute of Justice (This
project is sponsored by NIJ).
