ESE355 Lab Homepage (Summer 2007)
News:
- 07/09: On July 13, Friday afternoon 12:30PM - 1:30PM, TA will be in the LAB to check the demo of the Mini-Project. I'll check the layout (30%), extraction and simulation (40%), and the verification of your algorithm programming (30%).
- 05/31: Always have a blank line after the last charactor in your .sim file to avoid simulation error.
- 05/31: Please download the test.sp file. It's a HSpice netlist file of an inverter transient analysis. You can use it as an example.
- 05/31: HW1 notes are updated. Information on how to deal with the problem of IRSIM we got in last lab can be found.
- 05/31: Please download the .cshrc.hspice to your home directory. Then
follow the notes for running HSPICE.
- 05/31: You should run IRSIM from Magic, please read IRSIM Tutorial (especially Section 2.0,3.0,3.3) in Homework 1.
- 05/31: A good magic tutorial, here is the link. If you
want to use it in the lab, remember to print it out before you come.
- 05/31: Try to install Magic and Irsim on your home computer. You can download Magic 7.2 or 7.3 and follow the install procedure from http://vlsi.cornell.edu/magic/.
- 05/31: Labs will start from next week. Username and password to access the unix workstations
will be assigned at the beginning of each lab section.

- Come to the lab on time to avoid missing TA's tutorials.
- Never turn off the computers. Ask TA or lab staff for help if your
computer is stuck.
- Log out the computer before you leave.
